RMS - Repair Example 5.2

Previous PhotoRepairs Gallery

This is what will, or can happen when a truss rod is over-tightened. Also, snapping the rod itself, stripping the nut or rods threads, etc. are all probable. The truss rod exerts enough pressure to separate the fretboard from the neck. This was a unique situation where the fretboard material used was not wood, so choosing the right glue was (as always) critical.

Remember, careful with those truss rods !
